You can come to Altea by train with the Alicante – Denia line, which runs along the north coast of the Province. In addition, you have 11 trams and 9 Trains- TRAM , which cover the route between Alacant and Benidorm through the Metropolitan tramway platform.
The village is a must see! We had a wonderful family visit to Castell de Guadalest. Access to the castle is through the Casa Orduna museum, which costs 4 euros. Despite its small size, the museum was quite interesting.
The waterfalls are situated on several different levels, and there is a pathway and steps which you can follow right up to the top. On you way up you'll pass by natural bathing pools, diving pools, spectacular scenery and plenty of places to sit and relax or have a swim.
There is no major airport in Altea. It is instead served by Alicante Airport.
